Suerte translates as “luck” and, we suppose in a symbol of good fortune, the bottle is graced with the image of a rabbit. The idea of luck is an homage to the birth of tequila, which is reputed to be an act of luck in a variety of different legends.
The brand was founded by Coloradans Lance Sokol and Laurence Spiewak under the name of Colorado Spirits Importers. In a write-up in the Boulder County Business Report, the tequila is made in Jalisco using traditional methods of crushing the tequila with a stone wheel after a slow-baking… starkly different from the machine shredders in common use today.
